Managing POS Print Servers
Overview
When you become a seller on Magaroo, we setup a default POS (point-of-sale) Print Server for you.
- A print server is a means by which Magaroo can send printing commands from our web servers to the POS printers in your business.
- From the manage POS printing page you can get the access token that is required by our Magaroo Cloud Print software.
- Magaroo Cloud Print is a program that must be running on a Microsoft Windows PC on your local network for Magaroo to be able to communicate with your POS printer,
- You can download the setup program for Magaroo Cloud Print from the Manage Print Servers page or from here.
- For more information on installing Magaroo Cloud Print please visit the following knowledge base articles.
POS Print Servers List
At the bottom of Manage POS Print Servers page you will see a list of print servers.
Currently we only offer the option for a single default print server for each seller but in the future we may allow multiple servers.
- If this is something your business requires, contact the Magaroo Team on team@magaroo.com).
As you read from left to right for the default print server you will see:
- The number of POS printers defined for this server. Click the button to edit the number of defined printers.
- An access token. This is used by Magaroo Cloud Print to communicate securely with our web servers.
- Click the button to refresh the access code. This will disconnect any instances of Magaroo Cloud Print using an older access code.
- Click the button to copy the access code to the clipboard so it can easily be pasted into Magaroo Cloud Print.
- The online column shows if an instance of Magaroo Cloud Print is currently connected to Magaroo. You will need to refresh the page to update this column after connecting Magaroo Cloud Print.
- The last column estimates how many instances of Magaroo Cloud Print are currently connected to this server.
